Forbidden Fruit - Key West Burlesque
People love Key West because although it is a small island, a very small island, there is always something dynamic and 'larger than life' going on. A little something for everyone. The Key West Burlesque is our little island's only unique and talent laden burlesque. It is a mixture of the Moulon Rouge with a touch of Rocky Horror and a taste of musical panache. It is wild, it is sassy, it is sexy! "Forbidden Fruit, Key West's Juiciest Show" directed by Tatah Dujour includes dance, song and a variety of entertainments. It features a rotating cast of performers and KW Burlesque's very own band, The DuJourchestra! Not only is it a fabulous night out with laughter and entertainment, but one gets to experience yet another aspect of Key West art and theater. Certainly a show to see if you haven't! It is an adult show so keep the little ones at home. "Forbidden Fruit, Key West's Juiciest Show" plays every Friday thru September 7th. Show time at 8:30pm. Dinner & Show package available. At Mangoe's Upstairs Theater, 700 Duval St., Reservations: 305-771-0279.

32nd ANNUAL HEMINGWAY DAYS
Whether composing novels in his Whitehead Street
writing studio or fishing for big game in local waters, Pulitzer
Prize-winning author Ernest Hemingway left a powerful legacy in Key
West. His zest for life, literary accomplishments and enduring affection
for the island throughout the 1930s are to be
commemorated Tuesday through Sunday, July 17-22, 2012, during the annual
Hemingway Days celebration. Events include a look-alike contest for
stocky white-bearded men resembling Hemingway, readings and book
signings, an awards ceremony for the renowned literary competition
directed by author and Hemingway granddaughter Lorian Hemingway, a
commemoration of the 113th anniversary of Ernest's July 21 birth, a
one-man play exploring the literary legend's life and motivations, a
museum exhibit of rare Hemingway memorabilia, a zany "Running of the
Bulls" and a three-day marlin tournament recalling Hemingway's devotion
to the deep-sea sport. It is a festival to be enjoyed by all! For more information and schedule of events go to http://www.fla-keys.com/hemingwaymedia/
